Probate Set

We provide two sets templates for the probate and administration of an estate. The first set was drafted under the old legislation and presents some of our earliest work. Once news of the new Probate Act (proclaimed ???) and the prescribed forms came out, we stopped work on the set and waited for the new documents to be released. The library that you will receive will contain a folder at the bottom which contains the old templates. Take them for what they are, as they will not be updated, and the variables that we used in the new set are different.

Our new documents provide all the functionality that our users expect, including automatic fill-in of the Registrar's information based on the Registry district selected and nice grouping of information in dialogs, such as the information about the deceased.

What we have done which we believe is a big step up is to automatically modify the documents to accommodate more than one Personal Representative, and to allow for Corporate Representatives. We have combined all of those features into a single form for the various types of applications (i.e. Forms 8 to 11) - a major time saver.

As with all of our sets, we work constantly to bring the forms up to a higher level of functionality, and much of this is done in conjunction with feedback from our users. This is particularly so with brand new forms, which naturally will be modified as they get used in the system.

Some of the prescribed forms seem to be used very rarely, if ever. Accordingly, we have only coded those that our users tell us they need. As the need arises, we will fill in the set, so drop back to this page from time to time to see what else we've included.
